Privacy Policy
This policy describes what Founder Insider (the publisher) actually does with personal information. The site is free to read, has no paywall and offers no reader accounts, so for most readers the only personal information we hold is an email address given to us for a newsletter.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you sign up for a newsletter, together with which newsletters you chose.
- Usage data from Google Analytics 4, but only if you accept analytics on our cookie banner.
- Standard request data, such as IP address and browser type, which our hosting and image delivery providers process to serve pages and protect the site from abuse.
- Anything you choose to send us by email: a tip, a correction, a privacy request, or an advertising enquiry.
We do not require registration, we do not sell personal information, and we do not build individual reader profiles.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people find them. It loads only after you accept analytics on the cookie banner. If you decline, or never choose, it does not load. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a decline and do not ask. You can change your choice at any time on our cookie preferences page.
Newsletters
Newsletter sign-ups are processed by our email service provider, Brevo, which stores your address and sends the emails on our behalf. We use double opt-in: you are not subscribed until you click the confirmation link we email you. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link that takes effect right away. We use your address only to send the newsletters you asked for. We do not sell it, rent it or give it to advertisers.
Paid features and advertisers
Advertisers and paid-feature clients do not receive reader personal information from us.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful for the matter it concerns. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics.
Your rights
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Receive a copy of it.
- Have inaccurate information corrected.
- Have it deleted.
- Opt out of any sale or sharing of it, and of its use for targeted advertising.
Write to privacy@founderinsidermag.com from the address concerned so we can confirm the request is yours. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights. Our privacy choices page explains the opt-outs in more detail. Postal correspondence details for the publisher are available on request at the same address.
Children
Founder Insider is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will say so on this page rather than amending it quietly. If anything here does not match your experience of the site, tell us at privacy@founderinsidermag.com.
