Ownership and Funding

Readers should know who is behind a publication and who pays for it. This page says both.

Ownership

Founder Insider is an independent digital publication. Founder Insider (the publisher) is responsible for everything published on the site, and no advertiser or paid-feature client has any control over it.

Funding

We are funded in two ways: advertising, and paid features about founders and executives. We have no paywall and no subscription product, so reading the site is free.

Paid features are always labeled "Paid Feature". Every link to the subject's own properties carries rel="sponsored". The subject gets no approval over the copy beyond correcting factual errors, and editorial coverage cannot be bought.

Editorial independence

Advertisers and paid-feature clients have no say over what our desks cover or what they conclude. If we report on a company that has bought advertising or a paid feature, we report on it the same way we would on anyone else.
