Founder Insider is funded by advertising and by labeled paid features. Both are available, and both follow the same rule: readers always know what was paid for.

Advertising

We offer display advertising on the site. Ads are visually separate from editorial content, and buying an ad has no bearing on what we cover or how we cover it.

Paid features

A paid feature is an article about a founder or executive and their company, written and edited by Founder Insider and published on the site. It is how founders get a properly produced profile that people can find when they search for their name.

• Every paid feature is labeled "Paid Feature" wherever it appears.
• Every link to the subject's own websites and profiles carries rel="sponsored".
• The subject can flag factual errors but gets no approval over the copy.
• A paid feature never buys editorial coverage, a ranking or the removal of reporting.

Those rules are not negotiable. They protect readers, and they protect the subject too, because a disclosed feature on a publication that keeps its standards is worth more than an undisclosed one on a site that does not.
