How we work

Everything we publish is written for us. We do not republish other outlets' work or run automated feeds as editorial. Editorial and commercial are kept apart: nobody selling advertising or paid features has a say in what our desks cover, and we will not ask a writer to soften a story for a client.

What we look for

• Writers who can explain how a company, a deal or a market actually works.
• Editors who make a piece sharper without flattening the writer's voice.
• People who check things, and say so when they are not sure.

Open roles

When we have an opening, we will list it here with the role, what it involves and the pay range. If nothing is listed, we are not hiring for a defined role right now.

Freelance pitches

Pitch a specific story rather than a topic: what you think is true, why it matters to founders and operators, how you would establish it, and what you have already done to check it. Send pitches to editorial@founderinsidermag.com with "Pitch" in the subject line.

Speculative approaches

For anything else, write to contact@founderinsidermag.com with "Careers" in the subject line, a short note on the work you want to do, and two or three published pieces you are proud of. We read everything and reply where we can.
